This is my 3rd “Thursday Thirteen”.  This week, my “Thursday Thirteen” are the men I consider to be the Most Handsome Classic Movie Stars.  It was hard to narrow this list down.  There was so many of them.  These are men that true masculine glory exudes from.  In no particular order, my 13 Most Handsome Classic Movie actors are:

1.  John Wayne – manly man

3.  Errol Flynn- classic

4.  Clark Gable – debonaire

5.  Peter Lawford – the smile and charm

6.  Burt Lancaster – rugged

7.  Frank Sinatra – blue eyes

8.  Montgomery Clift – dark

9.  Charleton Heston – strong

10.  Gene Kelly – dance into the heart

11.  Paul Newman –

12.  Kirk Douglas – the dimple

13.  Ronald Reagan – just cute (this is my daughter’s choice!!)

  1. I love them all. I couldn’t have chosen any better. The honorable mentions, too. I’d add Paul Newman, tho. My most favorite it Cary Grant.

    Great TT!

  2. Clara, I have Paul Newman. He’s #11!! Glad you enjoyed the list. Thanks for stopping by!!

  3. Oh, my goodness — I’m swooning! I love, love, love old movies. Love Cary Grant . . . but not as much as a “young” Sean Connery. He was soooo HAWT in “Marnie.”

  4. Robert Redford and Paul Newman for me!

It’s hard to remember that Charlton Heston once looked that good, considering how he ended up…

  5. I was scrolling down the list thinking ‘i CAN’T BELIEVE she’s not putting in gene kelly!’ but then i found him at number 10… i love love gene kelly, i’ve seen singin’ in the rain sooo many times…

let’s see, a couple you missed, marlon brando, peter o’toole, Lawrence Olivier, elvis presley, dean martin… aaah well, there’s alot of them i guess…

why don’t you subscribe to my blog and then you will know if i ever post lol

  6. I didn’t see my hubby in there! LOL!

  7. Great list, but I have to agree with Laura… Where’s my hubby?

  8. I’m a Cary Grant fan myself. The other leading man that I think is awesome is Spencer Tracy.

  9. Funny to see Ronald Reagan like that. Back in those days, who would have thought he would end up in the White House?

  10. I swoon too, Rachel!! Thank goodness my daughter loves the classics. Men like these should never be forgotten. Sean Connery would be a good choice too!!

Laura and Christina, I just couldn’t add your hubby’s without putting mine at the top of the list!! LOL Sorry!! We’ll just have to be happy with these.

  11. Elaine, I couldn’t leave off Gene Kelly….no way!! I don’t think about Brando young, but he definitely could be on the list. Dean Martin came along later and I never considered Elvis an actor. He’ll always be a singer/performer, no matter how many movies he made!! Olivier and O’Toole were great actors, but I never swooned over them. I could watch them all the time, but they don’t get me HOT!! LOL

Don’t feel bad, I don’t subscribe to anyone’s blog. Now that homeschool is in full swing, it’s all I can do to keep up with my own. I keep getting behind on comments!!

  12. Robin, Charleton was definitely a looker in his younger days. Glad you like the list!!

Debbie, kiddo wanted Spencer Tracy too. I never considered him HOT, but he is a great actor. She got her way with Reagan!! LOL

jyl, it is hard to remember that’s how he started. I have to agree with my daughter though, he was cute in the day!!

Thanks for stopping by my blog!!

  13. Now thats a handsome bunch of men!

  14. HAHA I totally agree, Annette!! Glad you like them too!!

  15. aaaah peter o’toole made me swoon as an old guy, but i liked him middle aged, like in ‘my favorite year’.. he’s sooo cool… well i just thought if i only posted once a month, you might like to know about it, rather than checking my page all the time, but of course, it was just a sugesstion lol

  16. Don’t worry, I’ll keep up with you and you can let me know when something is important to yout. I always make time for my friends. I’m just quite busy with homeschool and I’m in the 2nd week of the religion class I teach. Kiddo’s b-day is coming, so I’m hopping!! Keep in touch and I’ll be around….I promise!!

  17. Great choices. :)

  18. Thanks Dawn!! Good to see you dropping by!!

  19. Nice list but where’s Tyrone Power?

    • Sorry Joan, he’s just not one of my faves. I don’t mind watching his movies at all, but he just doesn’t top my list. Maybe another time!!
