Father’s Day Crafts

With Father’s Day just days away, I thought I’d share some fun crafts with you for the handyman in your house.  The kids can make these crafts and cards for the do-it-yourself dad or grandpa!!

First, there’s a great printable tool box activity from Printables4Kids.com with the toolbox and tools for the craft.  The directions are simple for kids of any age to be able to complete this project.  There’s a printable gift card holder tool box at Disney Family Fun.  There’s also a printable Daddy’s Helper toolbox complete with directions and templates (toward the bottom of the page).  Glinda found this Daddy’s Helper toolbox craft and I wanted to share it because it’s right on theme!!  You can find a Father’s Day card craft made from construction paper with a template to add a few tools to the toolbox.  There’s another toolbox card here.  There’s a fun craft for a mini-toolbox made from an empty Altoids can!!

I also did my own take on the do-it-yourself dad.  I used one of the toolboxes above and put “Have a Blessed Father’s Day” on the toolbox.  Then I found some tools and put some Father’s Day related Bible verses on each tool.  You can download my toolbox and tools here.  (I used the toolbox from Printables4Kids.com.)  Cut out each of the tools and color.  They can be laminated if you choose.  The toolbox should be cut out and glued around the edges to a piece of construction paper….maybe dad’s favorite color!!  Personalize any way that you choose for the handyman in the kid’s life!!
