I hope that you all have a very blessed Ash Wednesday and that you’re ready to celebrate the season of Lent. I’ll be taking my class to mass tonight and I think that they’re ready. We practiced our mass behavior last week and they were doing really well with it.
What are you giving up for Lent?? Believe it or not, I’m still undecided. I always try to make it something meaningful. Something in the true spirit of Lent. This year, I just don’t know. I have no doubts that I’ll figure it out very soon. Leave me a comment and let me know how you’ll be celebrating Lent!!

This is the first year in I don’t know how long that I did NOT make it to Mass.
I was very glad to learn that Ash Wednesday is not a holy day of obligation.
My parents didn’t make it to mass either. My dad had to go to the VA, which is several hours drive away and he got home late. Even though it’s not a HDO, our DRE likes for us to attend mass as a class. I think it’s a good experience for the kids.
I’m sure you’ll be forgiven, just make your Lenten sacrifice a good one!!
